master data integration with ECC when using only DP

Hi,

I want to know how much master data integration is need when using SAP ECC and SAP DP and not using any other components of SAP APO like SNP, PPDS etc.

I know that the master data in DP is all about CVCs, that can be generated from the history loaded in the SAP BW cube. But if I want to transfer the demand (as Planned Independent Requirements) to ECC, what kind of master data integration with SAP ECC has to be done? Should I transfer customer, location master data from ECC to APO?

Hi Visu,

To transfer demand forecast generated in APO to ECC as PIR, you are using CIF. You need to have active integration model for PIR in ECC and generated the Distribution Definitions for the appropriate locations with Planned Independent Requirements as the Publ. Type.

Then you can use Transfer from APO as mentioned in the below link

You should not need additional master data integration as long as the characteristic value for location (as required in below-mentioned link) maps to corresponding master data in ECC.
