Can Anybody explain me the difference between a A2X and a A2A Service
Hello Anil,
An A2X service is a stateless synchronous service, designed for the usage in Composite application. It looks identical to A2A but A2X sevices are not used for process integration. It is used for maintaining Business Objects. Also, in contrast to A2A it doesn't write entries to Process Integration Persistence.

A2X services facilitate the exchange of business information between an application and an unspecified client. They are often used to build user interfaces (UIs) based on the back-end, without an intervening communication layer. For this reason, A2X messages contain all the necessary information for understanding the message, such as code names or texts to be displayed on the UI.

I dont think A2X refers to b2b Scenario as there is a big difference between B2B and A2A, this is quite a debatable arena. In the present case A2X can be where the application under consideration is communicating with an unknown third party application of which the only details we have are the field data to be sent/recieved etc. Its used more to describe a third party app, so its to be considered as an x-App. can be any j2ee app or .net app, the X here is used as a variable to denote the unknown till it becomes known..in which case the documents start referring to it as A2A.....
Hope that helps

Ravi

Hey
i never came A2X,most probbaly ur referring to scenario between two different businesses.
A2A is application to application meaning that whole of your scenario is within the companies landscape(no need of party here)
we also have B2B(probbaly u confused A2X with B2B),in B2B communication,we deal with two different businesses ,meaning that the scenario is between two different landscape(we use party for this)
thanx

A2A stands for Application to Application. It can be referred as communication between two applications with in the system landscape.
A2X -> r u referring to communication between a system with in landscape to a system out of landscape. Generally, it refers to B2B scenario.

Hi,
A2A is a popular EAI Acronym
so a service that connects two or more applications
and A2X is nothing related to EAI
