I want to know
1.what is a RF queue and how to manage a RF queue. and also do we assign user roles in RF queue?
2. what does a Partial TO means?
3. how to calculate a expiration date of material? is there any specific process or SAP steps involved? who assigns the expiration date for a material?
whether its quality or production planning? or is it assigned by the system? if it is assigned by the system is there any specific way or how do i configure the system?

By defining RF queues and assigning users to each queue, you can stream line your warehouse Task confirmation in a planned manner. You will have to configure your RF queues in Logistics Execution/Mobile Data Entry/RF Queue Management. It is mandatory to have a user ID Assigned to a Warehouse in this menu to be able to confirme tasks on RF. You can also define queues and assign different activities (like pick/putaway/replenishment TOs) that have similar charecteristics like pick path/vehicle/handling requirements under one queue. Then by assigning a queue to a user, the user will be able to confirm all the tasks (TOs) from that queue and the tasks in that queue will not be available for other users eliminating possibility of interlocking TOs when they are left open.
A partial TO during confirmation means you are confirming less than requested quantity. This is possible by setting adopt pick quantity during RF TO confirmation. The transfer requirement for the remaining qty can still generate another TO based on configuration.
Regarding expiration date, its better check this with your QM and Production Execution teams. Quality Management team owns the expiration dates for produced material. Setting this date can be manual or can be achieved automatically based on finished goods receipt as per the configuration in those modules.
