Post Installation steps for Solution Manager 4.0 SP10

Hi,

Can any one help me out to do the post installtion activites that is to be done after installation of Solution Manager.

Dear Venu Madhav,

Following Steps can be broadly followed as the post installation steps :

1. Check and adjust the workprocess distribution on the Solution Manager System.

2. Schedule the standard background jobs.

3. Setup operation modes and logon groups if required.

4. Add printers if required.

5. Install an Permanent License for Solution Manager System.

6. Apply the latest Support Packages and Kernel Patches to the system.

7. Execute SGEN to regenerate all the objects.

8. Create a new client and make a client copy from client 001 to this client using

the Client Copy profile "SAP_ALL".

9. Add your Satellite Systems in transaction SMSY.

10. Generate the RFC's for the satellite systems.

11. Add the Systems to appropriate Logical Components in transaction SMSY.

12. Create a new Solution in transaction DSWP.

You are now ready to configure Solution Monitoring / EWA generation / Service Desk / Change Management for your satellite system.

Follow the individual Configurations from the IMG activity for these scenarios.
