Former Member

HI,

I configured IDOC to IDOC, while trying to send idoc from source R3 system using the tcode WE19 and click on the button "test idoc outbound processing" it gives an error that "port does not exist in the table of port descriptions".

How to resolve this error?

Thanks,

Anil.

Hi Satish,

Check Tcode SM58 in SAP and IDX2 in XI for IDOC metada.

Page 11-13 for IDX2

Hi satish,

You have to create partner profile in we20 and assign the idoc type in the outbound parameter.

Hi satish,

In WE19 you have a menu called "idoc".In that you have a submenu "Edit control records".In that give the receiver and sender port details.Your issue will get resolved

create ports in we21 specifying the RFC destination name of XI and the sender systems

Hi

I created RFC dest from source r3 to xi and assigned the same in the port we21.

Do I need to create partner profile for this?

Hi,

I created partner profile and gave messagetype as outbound parameter.

When I am tyring to give data to idoc thru we19 and click on test idoc outbound procg, still its giving the same error that port is not defined in the table of port description.

However, when functional guy giving data from respective screens, idoc is triggered and the status shows as 03. However its not reaching XI.

Please guide.

Hi satish,

I too got the same error and resolved it.

After giving input in WE19,

GOTO menu IDoc---->Edit control record

Under Receiver

Port is the port which u have created in XI server

Partner No is the logical system name

Partner type can be chosen accordingly.

Under Sender

Port is the port which u have created in R/3

Under Logical message type

Message type is the IDoc type which u have choosen

Then click on the Standard outbound processing button to send your IDoc.

Hi,

Now in we19, I could able to see the idoc status as 03, data passed to port ok, 30 idoc ready for dispatch and 01 idoc created.

after this will it directly goes to xi server? but there in sxmb_moni i could not able to see any msg related to this, same with idx5 also.

tell me any other configuration i missed out?

anil.

Can u chk the SM58 also. Is there any error....???

Also if Idoc are in ready for dispatch state then you need to exeucte RSEOUT00 to send them to receiver on R/3. You can change this setting in partner profile on R/3 for XI by selecting the opting send Idoc immediatly insetad of collecting them.

If config is send immedialty & Idoc are shown as stats 03 & not able to see on XI then there should be some issue which you can check in SM58.
