Hi

My system hangs up and takes longer time when I activate IR or ID. I am on XI 3.0 SP 9. ..

Is there something like deleting history or unnecessary cookies what usually we do in IE ?

How much virtual memory I have to set for C and D drive:

How I can check/maintain these kind of Performance issues ?

System details:

Hard Disk: 160 GB

RAM: 2 GB

Processor: 2.83 GHz

Thanks

Hi Sandeep,

You can highlight it in windows explorer (the directory given above) and just click delete.

Perhaps safer for you to just rename it, just rename to cache_old (click on it once to highlight and press f2).

Hope that helps,

What JRE do you have?

Try uninstalling all JRE's (1.5 or 1.6 particularly), then installing the latest 1.4.2.x from java.sun.com

Then clear the java cache from C:\Documents and Settings\yourlogin\Application Data\Sun

Hi Srini,

You can just delete the cache directory. Anything that goes through java webstart will just redownload.

FYI I use 1.4.2_14 without any issue. Having other versions installed also can easily cause issues. If you installed 1.6 it will "upgrade" the cache, and I'm not sure if it will then be backwardly compatible, hence delete would cover that also.

Cheers
