HI, All:
does brbackup has a option to delete previous backup before start another backup? In other words, do we have to write a script to manully clean the backup directory before we start another brbackup if we only want to keep the most current backup?
there is no such option in brbackup tool.
You have to manually delete the previous backup file.

why do you want to delete a previous backup? You want to hide the fact that you made a bad backup or started an offline backup during the day?

because RMAN has options to manage previous backups, so just wondering whether brbackup has the same abilities.
here is my question though, when I do the brbackup with RMAN, in initSID.sap file, I specialy disk_copy_cmd = rman, is there anything else I need to set to integrate brbackup with rman? do I need to set up RMAN channels too? do I need to set backup_dev_type=rman_disk? I guess my question is, how to u integrate rman with brbackup,
thank you for your help
