Business Package ESS/MSS

Hello folks,

I'm getting started with this package that i don't have much knowledge on it and i'd like to know about the customizations that we've inside R/3 that may be done by the IMG. Do you guys know where can i find a customization map / guide regarding these Business Packages(ESS/MSS) that i could use? I saw 2 links Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service in Personal Management, but i would like to have a proper documentation that could guide me.

Thanks in advance,

Andre

I already have this document, but i think this article is not so deep and is a little superficial..I would like to have a good technical insight regarding all the customizations.

Thanks anyway,

Andre

Hi

Go through this

Yes there are 3 sca available in Service Marketplace for ESS and MSS. The path is

service.sap.com->Software Download->SAP Application Components->SAP ERP->SAP ERP 2004->SAP XSS.

Here You can find there latest patches for ESS, MSS and PCUI_GP.

You can deploy these on your J2EE server. Then you need to create the systems in the portal and configure the JCO.

Here is the link that explains the same.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/38/e8584c2a664547b60442646bee23b6/frameset.htm

JDI is needed if you want to change the ESS Applications. You don't need to create and iViews as SAP delivers standard iViews for all of its services.

If you need any more information, let me know.

I this is useful for u rewad me... you also can get points...

Hi Andre

I found if you reed the documentation and then follow the performance assistant inside SPRO for these areas you have sufficient guides to complete the work in the back end system.
