We have a scenario MI70 (based on Abap+J2EE) on Win2003 64 bit.As we have to create the setup package with DB2E that is not supported on 64 bit we are installing a new NWT04s instace on Win 32 to be connected to the 'main' instance.
Which usage type do we have to use for this second additional instace ?
If we select 'As Java' and 'MI' , the sapinst ask us also to setup the 'As Abap' as usage type.
And I do not understand why I have to setup also the 'As Abap' only to create the Setup Package, that is all made in Java.
Any Advise ?
Regards
Hi Roberto,
Only saw you message and I gather you may have already solved your issue...but in case you haven't.
You can try installing a Java addin for MI on the 32 bit server and point at the ABAP stack on the 64 bit server..
In our dev environment we have installed an MI addin to our ECC 6(not recommended), but we did not want to go to the expense of aquiring another server.
Kind regards.
Richard
