When we configure the installed webdispatcher, we have the option to
configure the webdispatcher to terminate the SSL.
We dont know why people would pick this option? What would be the
benefit to do so?

Yes people want to terminate SSL if they want to make use webdispatcher in place.
This is why because, webdispatcher itself a fire-wall and no need of using SSL here( that is already a secure layer). If you don't terminate SSL, you are adding a secure layer which is already in place.
So, It's a waste of choice to stick to SSL when using webdispatcher.
