database is not starting

hi everyone,

in my server one of oracle service is not starting.

"oracleorahome81httpserver" if i try to start this service its telling that " error 1067, the process terminated unexpectedly.

i checked in cmd prompt, by r3trans -d. its telling " error <0012>

.i need the command for mounting the database.

its urgent...,

a) plz post the complete logfile you got when invoking r3trans -d (trans.log in the same directory)

b) you could start the database through (-> user <sid>adm on windows, ora<sid> on unix)

> sqlplus "/ as sysdba"

> startup

but...the relevant oracle services need to be started first, such as the oracle listener for example...is your oracle release 8i? if it is, consider making an upgrade to at least 9.2.0.8...
