Seeburger Adapter

Former Member

Hi all,

We are using the Seeburger Adapter as an adapter and not as a module. So I created a BIC communication channel (receiver).

We receive the EDIFACT message via FTP and receive it in XI via the regular file adapter. Now we have to pass it to the BIC to transform the message from EDIFACT to XML.

How do we have to do that??

Can anyone tell me or give me some reference documentation.

Thanks

Ron

Hi

As you receive the EDIFACT message in sender side.you have to add the bean class in the module of the sender communication channel. These bean class help you to convert the EDIFACT message ino EDI XML.

1 localejbs/SeeClassifier Local Enterprise Bean classifier

classifier

2 localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean Local Enterprise Bean bic

3 localejbs/Seeburger/MessageSplitter Local Enterprise Bean split

then in the module configuration you have to add the

classifier destSourceMsg MainDocument

bic destSourceMsg MainDocument

bic destTargetMsg MainDocument

bic mappingName AUTO

bic newline true

bic split true

just add this i hope you will get desired result

Hi

The most direct way of using the Seeburger adaptors is to configure the BIC as a module. There is a software component from seeburger called bicmapper which will allow you to

1. define or import the inbound message metadefinition in various formats ( edifact, xml,...)

2. Using a mapping create an xml variant as the output metadefinition or edifact in the other direction.

3. Create a one to one mapping between input en output.

4. Export the metadata in xsd or sda format for import in XI

5. Generate an SDA which can be deployed in XI and used as a module.

Hi,

Seeburger EDI Adapter leverages SAP XI's Adapter Framework. This Adapter is used to perform conversion between EDI and XML format. It also provides some canned EDI layouts and the ability to build your own. It is used to transfer the EDI message via HTTP or AS2 protocols.

Please go through the following links which clearly explains what you want and it also helps you in understanding the same in depth:

Ron,

The setup and config guides are available in the download/CD provided. The path is Unzipped Folder -> /data/manuals/SAPXI30_BICAdapter.pdf

This guide has all the information how to use the BIC adapter as a module as well as an adapter.

Al of this is documented in a the document Seeburger Business Integration Converter Mapping Designer for SAP XI 3.0 ( delivered witht the seeburger adaptor stuff)

Hope this helps

You should have some software delivered by Seeburger with your adapter which allows you to create your own mapping programs from the Adapter to the message structure imported into XI. Also the actual message structure iteslf should be created using the software delivered as an external definition.
