Hi,
One of our test servers is at SP9, SR1 installation.
When i tried to access <b>"Alert Configuration"</b> , <b>"Alert Inbox"</b> links in RWB, the link pages dosen't get dispalyed. It gives the follwing error
404 Page not found ... The requested resource does not exist.
Should we try redeploying RWB sda..?
cheers,
Siva Maranani.
Hi Michal & Sasi,
I have looked at the note and made the necessary changes in my exchagne profile.
The error has changed now, a page <b>"Action canceled", Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.</b>
I have even removed my internet proxy settings.
Earlier com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost was set to "hostname"
now i changed it to "fullhostname" (hostname.corp.xyz)
By the way, can you look at your exchange profile and let me know if the paramerter has to be "fullhostname" (note says so) or "icm/fullhostname" (sasi's reply says so).
anyother configurations need to be done..?
cheers,
Siva Maranani.

Hi,
and what about:
com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport ?
is it set to http port (not java)?
>>By the way, can you look at your exchange profile and let me know if the paramerter has to be "fullhostname"
fullhost
one more thing you can check is:
Creating HTTP Destination pmistore in the Java Environment
from XI installation guide (config in visual admin)

michal
Hi,
Can you try with hostname.corp.satyam.com ?
it should be fullname (FQDN) I believe
give it a try
btw
you can also try to reset just ine case:
a) the RWB
http://<J2EE-Host>:<HTTP-Port>/rwb/rtc?op=init
b) exchange profile
http://<J2EE-Host>:<J2EE-Port>//rep/support/admin/index.html
Repository, Directory, Runtime
(All properties -> Refresh )

michal

Hi Michal & Sasi,
Thankx a ton for your help. Atlast the problem is solved.
It was problem with my "fullhostname".
Unfortunately my "fullhostname" seemed to be logical
"hostname.corp.satyam" was exactly 20 characters long. Only later i realized that it was "hostname.corp.satyam.ad" and then all happies. )
Cheers,
Siva Maranani.
Hi Siva,
I'm Pruthvi working in SAP-XI.
When I try to click on the Alert-Configuration and Alert-Inbox I'm getting the same error you got :
404 Not Found
The requested source doesnot exist
From your blog I got to know the below things :
1) We will get HTTP port number and full host name value from the t-code SMICM -> Goto -> Services
2) We have to give the HTTP port number value in Exchange Profile in com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport
3) We have to give the full host name value in Exchange Profile in com.sap. aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost
4) Also I have checked in the t-code SICF and all the required services as described in sap note 768456 were present over there.
Apart from the above do I need to check for anyother services (or) parameters that needs to be installed for setting the alert configuration.
Also You said that PMI store is already configured during post-installation steps
Can you please let me know what is PMI store and how to check it is configured (or) not and also where to see it.
Thanks and Regards,
Pruthvi
Hi siva,

Hi michal,
1) YES httpport is set to 8000 (abap-http port)
2) PMI store is already configured during post-installation steps...
Its values are :
URL: http://hostname:8000/sap/bc/spi_gate
Authentication: Basic
3) I have checked all the steps in note 768456, but still the page is not appearing...
In configuration guide it was mentioned to set profile parameter <b>em/global_area_mb</b> to 128 to allow proper ITS operations... can you tell me where exactly to set this parameter..?
I have also made an entry in the host file (hostname.corp.xyz)
Cheers,
Siva Maranani.

Hi,
In rz10 ?
references:
http://www50.sap.com/linux/pdf/mm630_e.pdf
but I don't remember this parameter sorry
have you refreshed exchange profile (or restarted the whole XI) after the changes?
Regards,
michal
Hi Siva,
You should give fully qualified host name for the xi server (parameter, icm/host_name_full). Also set the same in exchange profile parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost

sasi
