How to monitor Abap and J2ee engine

Hi,

One of the responsibilities of SAP XI Basis guy is to monitor ABAP and J2ee engine. Could you pls brief on what these responsibilities are and how to perform them?

Ashish,

He has to check the Logs and traces if you have any errors in production for analysis. On ABAP he has to make sure that all the schedule jobs are executing correctly or not in SM37. He has to archive the messages. He should be able to apply the released service packs.

If there are any errors on J2EE he should be recitfy. You can see this document for reference:

Hi,

In Runtime work Environment Bench you can monitor the Adapter.
