Refresh of Clients

It appears that when a client refresh occurs, all of our roles are removed. From my last test scenario it appears that it brings over the roles from Client that one is refreshing from. How can we avoid this?

Did you overwrite the Client ?

Please explain briefly to answer the proper questions ...

It is a system refresh yes we overwrite the client. We are copying tables.

What kind of refresh are you taking.

Are you taking a client copy or restoring a backup of other client ?

If you are taking a client copy you can choose suitable profile as per your requirement.

if you want to copy without cross client data and user master ...use profile SAP_APPL

Do not use SAP ALL. Use SAP APPX or APPL. These two will not overwrite users profiles.
