Rohit,

What ever you create in message type will come as a payload into XI. For the source message type it corresponds to your source payload and for the receiver message type it corresponds to your receiver payload. This is the data what you are getting to XI and sending from XI.

Hi Rohit,

Not sure in general NetWeaver terms, but in XI Payload means the actual message data.

XI deals with SOAP-XML format.

SOAP has SOAP- header and SOAP-body

Header will have the details of message like sender interface , receiver and further details.

Soap Body has manifest which contains Payload. So payload is nothing but my actual data.

Hi ,

The payload is the actual contents of a message in the XI which is in Soap XML format as the XI uses Soap msg format for data exchange . When you are testing your interface you can go to SXMB_MONi and under that input message structure you can see the payload structure(actual input message)

HI Rohit

The payload contains the real content of messages. In header you see metadata such as error and hops of the message.

For example if you make a select of a database table you will see the data which this statement returns in payload.

The payload is the actual contents (business data) of a message in the Exchange Infrastructure
