Hi gurus

can any body help to my problem

. How we define the obsolenscence of a material in Material master?

2. To identify such materials in the list of total material master records, What is the validation process?

3. What is the best Master data validation process?

4. How much time required roughly to execute the process

Hi Guy,

To make it obsolete you may adjust this field "<b>in Cross-Plant Material Status</b>" in Basic data 1 View.

To make material "suppress" flagged at Master Data level, try MM06.

Then you can identify them with a flag in MARA table ( Export it Via se16 )

<b>TIPS</b> : <i>If you want to obsolete a lot of materials, use txn MM17 ( Material Mass Maintenance )</i>
