Changing the route string for a service connection in Service Marketplace

How on earth do you permanently update the route string for a service connection in the Service Marketplace??!!! We have looked and looked, but can't find it.

In the help for a service connection it says, "By default, the route string contains the parameters maintained in the system data, which can be adjusted if necessary."

Well, the system data area lets me change the host name, service port, etc, but not the route string.

Hi,

Initially the three fileds will be as below.

sap router status: Not connected

Saprouter : -

(Route strin field which is empty and disabled).

Semi automatic opening: Not allowed.

Click on Semi automatic opening and Input the no of days and click on "Allow SAO".

Then Semi automatic openin status will turn to "Allowed".

Activate the connection which you want to open form th list of "Set up connectcion types" by clicking on it and then clicking on "Save".

Then we can see the connection in the "Open/Close Connections " section.

After that open the connectcion by clicking the connection type in the section "Open/Close Connections ". If it is the first time it will ask for the Route String.

/H/[Your Local SAP Router]/S/3299

Now Key in the no of days you want the connection to be open and enter the IP of our sap router in place of [Your local SAP Router] in the Route string field and click on Start Service Connector.

OR

if it did not the prompt for the RouteString in that step , then click on "Connect" which is for the filed

SAP Router Status : -

Refresh <b>Connect</b>.

Then the Router string field will be enabled and you can input the route string.

Thanks,

Tanuj

Thanks for your reply. I found that it saves the value of the sap routestring...sometimes. The behaviour doesn't seem completely consistent, but then again, it is sap after all, so no surprises!
