Budget Availability & Commitmenet

Dear All,

I would like to inform, while releasing the PR/PO, system is n't considering the released budget / committment. Let us say i have released an amount of Rs. 2000/- for project, while releasing the PR/PO, i am able to create PO/PR more than Rs. 2000/-, but while posting actual cost, system is considering the Budgeted amount.The Budget profile, tolerance limit etc. has been maintained perfectly. I would like to inform that Funds Management is n't in our scope.

I reqeust all to suggest on this issue.

Hi Biplab,

Well, Just check the account assignment of the PR & PO. It should be either "Q" or "N" or "P". ( Project Stock).

If you are using Plant stock i.e. without any account assignment, then definately the system will not be checking the Budgets at PR/PO.

Hi Biplab,

Just check whether the Commitment management component is active in your system.( T code OKKP ). You will be required to activate this component for your controlling area , if its not active.

Also check Target Group in Budget availability control tolerance limits in IMG

PS --> Cost --> Budget --> Define tolerance limits.

Dear All,

As informed you, Committment management & Tolerance Limit has been maintained. While creating PR/PO, budget control is n't being considered, but while making actual posting, budget control is considered. Any suggestion on this is highly appreciable.

Hi Biplab,

In your budget profile, please re-check setting for Availability Control.

Check what is Activation type.Please check which option is tiked Overall or Releases.See F1 help for individual options.

Also in Tolerance limit setting, kindly check what is the percentage for Availability control under Usage option.
