Hi, All:
My question is to implement SCM APO, normally do we need 3-tier landscape for APO (DEV - QAS - PRD) or just one for Production is ok?
Any info will be highly appreciated!
Thanks!
Best Regards,
David
Whether it is APO or R3 or any other system, it is best practice to have these three environments (at least, if not more)
Development is transported through QA and tested there before moving to Production
Its quite risky to run with just production alone. things to consider: - How would you do any future development or any changes? you might need to shut the system for a long time. Any development before testing might affect other working areas.
(Never seen a single environment setup)

It is highly recommended to use 3 tier system. Development to initially develop and test in QA and then up and running in live Production environment. It's very expensive to do experiments on a Production system.

there are a few threads here on sizing that you can find on using the search and they may be quite informative
