Hello,
I would like to be able to do a full back up of 1 instance of SAP on my system and then restore it at a later date. Could you tell me the best way to do this ? Is it with restore lib or with homogenious copy and then restore lib ? Is there any material on how back up and recovery works ?
Thank you in advance,
Denis
Hi Denis,
there are a lot of answers to your question possible ...
What SAP release are you using & are you using ABAP & Java or ABAP only ?
If you want to "go back" on that server in a few weeks, the easiest might be to do a CLRLIB r3siddata & DLTR3PKG first. Then you use RSTLIB r3siddata of your backup.
If you want to do the restore on a different server, it sounds like a homogenious systemcopy, where for ABAP-only easier ways are available than the official one.
