MI Logon Credentials

Hi all

I am into implementaion of MTT. EP 6.0 is up and running and the logon credetials for it is the same as the system logon user id and password and is authenticated using LDAP from Active Directory. Can we do the same kind of strategy for MI. That is the logon user id and password and sync password, can we use the same as the system logon user id and password authenticating from active directory.

Hi Raj

If I understood your requirement right, you have EP 6.0 and would like to use the same login credentials of EP to MI as well. If this is your requiement, then the solution is to use Single Sign On (SSO) feature on MI. Please refer to this <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/10b4069a-9e87-2910-8d9e-9ee7d38e0ed6">guide</a> for more details. Once implemented, the MI users need not have to provide their logon password or sync password to login to MI and synchronize data to the middleware. But they will have to be authenticated by the portal.
