MDM search web service error

Hello Experts:

I am doing a smoke test for the MDM search web services. I installed the required files (all the 4) through SDM and created a search user in MDM and the same search user in VA. When I am doing the test through the Web Services Navigator, I am getting the following error:

Problem while connecting to MDM repository: Material_Ext on server: xxxxxx.com at port: xxxx. Maybe the Repository-Information has not been set correctly at the requested query.

I appreciate any help on this.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Anyone know how to fix this?

My problem was caused by incorrect usage of the web service, I hadn't filled in all the fields in the WS-explorere that were required. After doing so, everything worked. I agree the error message is very misleading, but I guess thats the way some SAP software are.
