How can we manually deploy Local DC's

Hi All,

I'm using NW04s, EP 7.0 SP 12, NWDS 7.0.11, no NWDI.

I have a slight problem. I am developing Local Web Dynpro DC's on my client machine. The basis team do not want to give me the SDM password so that I can deploy my apps due to security reasons. With normal Web Dynpro portal apps I was able to email the .ear file to them and they would just manually deploy it thru SDM. But with Local DC's it doesn't seem to be the same (there is no .ear file). What can I do to deploy these to the WAS? ie, what can I give to the Basis Team in order to make this possible? Are there any other suitable workarounds?

Hi,

With Dc's also you can get the .ear file, go through the following location

C:\Documents and Settings\(your user)\.dtc\LocalDevelopment\DCs\(your package)\(Project name)\_comp\gen\default\deploy

Hi Marshall,

The Local DC project will also contains the .ear file.

Please search in the below location.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\.dtc\LocalDevelopment\DCs\sap.com\<project name>\_comp\gen\default\deploy

".dtc\LocalDevelopment\DCs\sap.com\<project name>\_comp\gen\default\deploy"

becomes the exact location.
