Latest information required(about patches and kernael)

Hi all,

Our present SAP version is 4.7E ,Oracle is 9.2.0.7 and kernel is 6.40(patch level 121).basis patch level KB62060,Abap KA62060 .We do not have solution manager upto now.

Please give your good suggestions

1. what is required patch level to maintain ?

2.what is end for supporting SAP 4.7E and oracle 9.2.0.7?

3. what are your suggestions for future implementation?

--> no pre-requisites, but always try to use the latest

--> SAP 4.7E: march 2009

--> Oracle 9: july 2008

--> upgrade to Oracle 10g

SP level looks good but kernel looks pretty old , you can plan for a kernel upgrade.

SAP R/3 Enterprise 47x110 - Extension of Mainstream Maintenance from December 2006 until end of March 2009

SAP R/3 Enterprise 47x110 and 47x200 - Extended Maintenance from April 1, 2009 until the end of March 2012 (first year: additional fee + 2%, next 2 years: additional fee + 4% per year).

3. what are your suggestions for future implementation?

You should think about upgrading to ECC 6.0 and also implementing Solution Manager.
