Hi Nilesh,

You can configure SLD on the same machine where your WAS is installed.

Go to the link : http://<WAS IP>:50000/sld

there go to Administration and then choose server setting.

there set Object server as J2E.

Now go to back on administration page, and start server by clicking on start server button.

Now when server is in running mode, then click on import link given under content.

There you can see one button: Import CMI content from server.

click this button. It will start importing CMI contents. It will take around 15 to 20 minutes.

Now go to visual administrator(usr/sap/j2e/jc00/admin/go.bat).

There goto services->SLD Data supplier->choose CIM Client generation settings tab.

There give your WAS server's information.

Then test connection by clicking CIM Client Test button.

Now your SLD is ready.

then create New technical system, which is your SAP R/3 in SLD.

Then you need to create two JCO connections to connect to your SAP R/3 system.

Do this and let me know.

Don't forget to reward points if its helpful.

Hi Bhavik,

this installation guide is great.

The only thing i don´t know, is where i have to create the technical landscape and which settings i have to use.

Hi Stefan,

The SID to be mentioned in your technical system wizard is a three letter word and is preferably the logical system name as your SID in the database system. To get this, login to the ABAP server you want to connect to, using the sap logon gui.

At the RHS bottom you will find the three letter SID.

To get the installation number, select the "System" menu from the menubar. Now select the option "Status". On the screen that appears you will find the installation number.

The Database host name will be the name of the ABAP server you want to use.

Hope this helps you.

hi Nilesh,

In SLD, go to Administration>Data Supplier Bridge and start it if its not started. You have to create a technical system here from Home>Technical Landscape -->New Technical System.

Refer this link given below.I have explained in detail
