RFC Name

Hi,

I am trying to create a function Module Name as one of these

Z_RFC_TEST_QE

ZRFC_TEST_QE

ZTEST_QE

All three it says that function name is reserved for SAP. Function Group I said SMSD. What could be the problem?

I dont think anyone is reading the question right.....as sonia mentioned all the three names she is using START with a Z, that being the case the issue is smthing else as she is following the correct nomneclature.

Sonia check to see if the same rfc program already exists or whether the permissions are right for the user to be able to create, also try changing the name to start with Y and see if that helps........if not then definetly the issue is not with the name.

i guess u can't create ur own FM under the standard SAP Function group.

try creating it under some Z Function group .

Actually the function group had to start with a Z.

hi sonia,

for ur custom development you need to give the function group starting with 'Z' or 'Y'. all other are reserved for SAP so u cant use them.
