Hello,

We are running on XI 3.0 SP10

configuration made :

- sapgui

transaction alrtcatdef - alert configured with fixed recipient (mail set on user)

transaction sicf - alert inbox service and smtp activated

transaction scot - ok (job rsconn01 scheduled)

transaction sm37 - job define for pg : SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET

transaction sm37 - job automatically scheduled by end to end monitoring with pg : SPI_PS_ASSEMLE_DSP every ten minutes.

- web

Alert configuration : alert defined without restrictions

Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule : flagged

End to end monitoring : activated.

Error messages are still not getting triggered

Nothing in SOST.

Is there something else to configure?

Thanks,

Laurent.

SP 10 on XI 3.0 is outdated! Time for a upgrade SP 14 onwards you can get alerts even for Adapter Engine Alerts . This is not suported on your SP and you also need to do multiple other set up's.

1. Did you activate End to End Monitoring?

2. This blog by Michal provides all troubleshooting tips for Alerts before SP 14. Beacuse you are on SP 10, corss check each of the steps with this blog,

Hello Bhavesh,

I have now configured correctly the alerts but some adapter errors in workflow are still not triggered whereas alerts with red flags category :

MAPPING.EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE and PLAINHTTP_ADAPTER.ATTRIBUTE_SERVER

are correctly triggered.

So alerts don't trigger the errors from sxmb_moni_bpe?

Laurent.

hey

try uncheckin the supress multiple alerts button.

a lot of times it waits for u to complete the existing alerts and wont trigger any subsequent alerts.

if u uncheck that box in alert configuration,it will trigger all the alerts

Hello Ahmad,

the supress multiple alerts button was already unchecked.

I retried but the error is still not triggered.

Ahmad,

The user we use is PIRWBUSER and is not locked.

SLG1 shows no errors. Everything is green.

Laurent.

Yes we are on XI but the Runtime Workbench user is PIRWBUSER.

In slg1 lines in green are :

Alert is generated on the Central Alert Server

Alert category: Z_ALL_ALERTS

Expiry time: 20070606 123520

Hello Ahmed,

I'm ok with this that some alerts are triggered like those in red flags with category :

MAPPING.EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE and PLAINHTTP_ADAPTER.ATTRIBUTE_SERVER for example,

but there is a particular error i can't trigger.

This error can be monitored with transaction sxmb_moni_bpe. Then entering "diagnosis processes with errors". These errors are marked successfully in sxmb_moni but if you go in the messge you can see call adapter is not ok.

Can these errors be triggered too in alerts?

Laurent,

Can you try to check in the drop down in Where Did the Error Occur , if this Business Process Engine Error is displayeD?

If yes, can you create a separate Alert Rile for this and check if alerts are triggered in this case?
