RFC user in Sm59 on sender system - no access to XI

Hello,

we want to implement an IDOC scenario.

So we added a RFC connection on the sender system and added a user here

which is copied from PIAPPLUSER on our PI 7.0.

The connection test is successful with

- remote login

but not successful with

- authorization test (STRG F4).

Message in trace was: wrong password used.

But we are sure that the pwd is correct. We tried this with three different users and the result is for each of them the same.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards

Dirk

Hi,

Was this user created on XI?

Hi Bhavesh,

yes, of course!

This problem is only coming up between the (non unicode) R/3 and the XI (unicode), not between other R/3 systems (test between DEV and PROD R/3).

Maintain this User Id with password in all CAPS.

I think there was (or still is) a bug in some R/3 where you have to put the password in UPPERCASE even it is not defined like that. Not sure if this is the case but it's worth a try.

Dirk,

Like pointed by others the exact cause is that the Non Unicode system tred to change the USer Id and Password to ALL CAPS and as XI Passwords are case sensitive the log on fails.

Change the user id and password ( again correctly pointed by others ) to all Capitals and this will work fine.
