Server not getting started

Hi All,

I am trying to start the server using the command

>startsap

but the start process is not getting completed even after an hour

>startsap

The command is getting stuck at this level.

This an XI installation on Linux with oracle as db.

Can anyone help.

Hi,

Check the permissions of Oracle directories sapdata..., sapreorg,saptrace, saparch..

Write error may be permission problem

Hi All,

I am trying to start the DB and getting the following error

SQL> connect / as sysdba

Connected to an idle instance.

SQL> startup

ORACLE instance started.

Total System Global Area 1191182336 bytes

Fixed Size 2070712 bytes

Variable Size 603981640 bytes

Database Buffers 570425344 bytes

Redo Buffers 14704640 bytes

Database mounted.

ORA-16038: log 4 sequence# 1920 cannot be archived

ORA-19502: write error on file "", blockno (blocksize=)

ORA-00312: online log 4 thread 1: '/oracle/XID/origlogB/log_g14m1.dbf'

ORA-00312: online log 4 thread 1: '/oracle/XID/mirrlogB/log_g14m2.dbf'

Any solution ?

Can anyone help.
