What does a Reverse Proxy means? How does its different from the ABAP Proxy or Java Proxy?

As prateek pointed out the term "reverse proxy" is much of a networking term.

Proxies in XI are termed as ABAP and Java proxies
They are termed as "Proxies" bcoz they act as interfaces between 2 applications. They r not related to "Reverse Proxy". Just the name game
