Uploading the file into XI Appl Server (AL11)

Hi Guys,

Iam trying to Upload the file into XI Appl Server (AL11) using SXDA_TOOLS.Can anyone tell me the parameters that i need to pass (Object Type,Program Type,Program etc...) in SXDA_TOOLS for uploading the file.

what is SXDA_TOOLS? is it an fm? please help. i also need to upload file to al11.. thnx

lao,

This is a transaction which you can use in R/3 or the XI server.

If you want to upload the data into R/3 server you can even use the transactions CG3Y and CG3Z for uploading and downloading the files.

Since you doesnt have these transactions in XI , we use the SXDA_TOOLS for uploading the files/data from Presentation server to AL11 and Vice versa.

Object type BUS3060

Program type DINP

Program RCCLBI03

File type Phisical file name

File Name /tmp/filename.txt

click on Copy (Ctrl+F5) and enter the source file name by selecting the presentation server from Source frame and target file name by selecting the Application server in the Target Frame.
