Unable to apply patch level 1 to SAP GUI 7.10 Installation Server

Hi there,

I have downloaded patch level 1 for SAP GUI 7.10 but when I try to apply the patch to the installation server, the wizard just exits once I select the patch and click Next. Is anyone else having this problem or am I doing something wrong. I have followed the directions perfectly and tried numerous times on numerous systems and it just does not seem to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Figured it out. Apparently the one thing I did not try was making sure the patch itself was not corrupted which of course it was. Downloaded it again and all is well.

Hi,

I created an installation server and successfully created a package and deployed it to a pc via SMS. Once I patch the installation server and try to create a new package. I manage to create the package, deploy the packaged client install but SAP does not launch.

My installation steps:

Dot Net 2.0

Create a installation package

Patches applied: bi710sp02p_201-10004472.exe

gui710_4-10002995.exe

Is there a SP or something that I am missing?
