Pre requisites for XI

Hi,

Can any body expalin what are the pre requisites to work with XI. For example in order to run proxies was>= 6.2 like that what are the pre requisites for XI. Please correct me if iam wrong. We need Java Run Time Environment and Jawa Web start. Is there any thing else needed to work with xi.

There are two courses of SAP on SAP XI prerequisites:

BIT140:

 Overview of using XML at SAP

 Introduction to the principles of XML, DTD and XML schema

 Introduction to the basic principles of XSL (XSLT and XPath)

 XSLT transformations in SAP Web AS using XSLT programs

 Outlook: ABAP Web Services

BIT100 SAP NetWeaver Process Integration – Overview :

 Areas of use and properties of the different integration technologies with regard to closely and loosely linked Business Framework scenarios

 Relationships between the integration technologies, XI/ ALE / BAPI, ALE / WF, ITS / Business Connector, Web Application Server

 SAP business integration technologies: ALE, BAPI, EDI, Workflow

 Basis communication technologies: IDoc, RFC, Connector

 Security aspects in distributed environments

 Case studies focusing on general integration aspects and SAP-specific integration aspects

Also should have knowledge of JAVA.
