Hi,

I am trying to understand how planning in CBF works. We create a super BOM and super routing thereby create a PDS. We CIF over the classification data, create the DP configuration and then plan. Now we release the data to PPDS directly, No SNP. So when we are forecasting, are we actually procuring the materials we need here or are we just forecasting and keeping the demand in mind?

CBF is forecasting of demand. Its almost like DP except that you have forecst consumption (if you have such a scenario)

There is no procurement involved in the demand planning level. that would happen in PPDS by explosion of PDS. it creates dependent requirements for the components in PP/DS, which can be converted to production orders or purchase requisitions.

I am sorry. You are right. There is no procurement at the DP level.
