Regarding your first querry about the problems that one may face if all conditions are manual is of mistakes/errors that a user may commit due to lot of manual intervention in inserting manual conditions at header & line item level.As rightly sugseted by these two Gurus, automatic pricing should be used as far as possible to avoid mistakes due to manual intervention.

Yes , it is possible to give all pricing conditions manually.

For that no more customization is needed but you have to flag the manual indicator in pricing procedure against that condition.

hi subrat panda,

manual conditions provide with an extra functionality, in the sense that when some discounts or header conditions require the business to decide depending on the market scenario. So a provision for manual is given.

Since a customer can order many materials its difficult to allow manual conditions. so automatic pricing is preferred. Also there would be situations where sales order created via batch jobs. In this case you cannot enter manual conditions. Only thing we can do is, after a sales order gets created > go in the change mode and do this stuff.

In any case the business would prefer to have automatic pricing as it smoothens the operation, by reducing time and effort and minimises errors. And one more important thing is from the business side generally there will be a person designated to maintain such condition master data.

Hi,

In practical scenario it will not be advisable to have manual condition all manuall.just because in order and for every line item you will have to maintain each condition type manually which is time consuming and can be dangerous coz it might result in mistakes due to human errors.

Automatic pricing is lways prefered.Apart from maual discounts.
