RFC Sender EOIO, is it possible?

Hi !

We have a RFC-XI-FTP scenario. We need to build files in the FTP server using the contents received by the RFC sender from R/3.

The problem is that we need to ensure that the files are rebuilt exactly on the FTP server side.

We are NOT allowed to use FTP from the sender side (FTP-XI-FTP).

Is it possible to receive the RFC calls in order in XI and then create the destination file (append mode) using the messages in the exact same sent order ?? how ?

Thanks,

Matias.

Hi Matias,

for sender RFC adapter the quality of service EOIO is not supported.

This is in some way available for the receiver RFC adapter: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/33/c6e63b60c25767e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

BTW, why don't you use a proxy to file or idoc to file scenario? with that you could set the quality of service to EOIO directly from the sender system (for idoc on WAS >6.40).

Hope it helps,

Kind Regards,

Sergio

Hi Sergio !

Thanks for your answer. We will try your approach using an ABAP proxy sender.

Hi,

If you have ERP on WAS 6.40 you can use

IDOC with EOIO as Sergio suggested

this approach is also described in my book:

mastering IDOC scenarios with sap xi

Hi Michal !

Thanks.

We are not sending standard data, so maybe we will use the abap proxy approach. Thanks anyway.

Regards,

Matias.
