I am concerned how to perform a remote client copy from production to qas on ecc5 in relation to logical system.
1.st cretae new logical system on QAS the same as the one on production
2.nd create a new clent (trx scc4)
3 rd. perform an remote client copy
or?
All you need is an RFC connection from QAS to PROD through which the client data will be copied.

I dont think you need to explicitly create a logical system.
When you do a remote copy, SAP should take care of it.
All you have to do is create a new client in QAS and start remote copy from there.

Cyrus

I would use sap_all (all data). as the client is small I would copy t via rfc.
Only I do not know about logical system. Can it be adjusted later. should it have the name from qas or production

Hi Tina
Performing a Client export or Client Import will be the better option.SCC8.
Need any more info? Please post what profile you wanted to get into QAS?

You can do that but if the client has lots of data, it is better to do an export/import.
Are you copying the entire client(which profile are you gonna use)?
