Hi All,

I have followed following weblog to ftp a .dat file from one system to another system.

/people/william.li/blog/2006/09/08/how-to-send-any-data-even-binary-through-xi-without-using-the-integration-repository

The file is of 440 kb and the file is sent corruped to the receiver system... I have checked the pay load in the sxmb_moni it shows some junk.

Can anybody help me in this issue.

I need to resolve this urgently.

Thanks and Regards,

Sreenivas

Nettem,

In your file sender and reciever communication channel select the file type as Binary and check. Then you should not have the problem.

Hi,

What is the encoding that I need to use if the file in the source is generated by SAP system ?

Nettem,

If you are generating file from SAP then by default I think its going to come as UTF-8. Also if it is a file I dont think you should have problem in XI.

Can you please post the file here?

when you have applied file type "binary", can you tell the difference of the files when you look at them with a hex editor?

This might help to find the issue, otherwise it is just guessing.

What kind of file do you have, text, zip, picture?
