Error in SAP 4.7 installation : PRA-12560 TNS Protocol adapter error

I am trying install SAP 4.7 with Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 on win2k sp4.

os, oracle and sap system file in same partition (15gb) and sap database in seperate partition (45gb).

I have installed Cental instance successfully. While installing database instance, at the point of database creation, it is giving error with ORA-12560 TNS Protocol adapter error.

How to proceed?

Problem was identified as PC memory was not enough to install

The question is did you have ONLY this service on?

Or did you have the listener service, too?

If I try to make tnsping DEV I have the following error:

Looks like your LISTENER SERVICE is not running.Check in

Start-->Run->type SERVICES.MSC check for oracle Listener service,if its not running start it or do a restart of the service.This should solve your problem.
