I have activated Autologbackup from the DBMGUI.

When the log backups takes place it ends all ok and I can see the log backup from the DBMGUI, but I don't see it from SAP db13.

Could this be possible because I started it from DBMGUI instead of SAP?

Any ideas?.

Could you please provide more information:

-> What is the version of your system?

-> What is the version of your database?

-> What is the SAP Basis SP do you have on your system?

If you SAP customer, could you please create the OSS ticket, therefore we will be able to logon to your system & check the issue.

I think you understood me wrong.

I can active the log backup from db13 or dbmgui not the problem that.

The problem I am having is that when the Log buffer reaches its logment_size the backup happends. Thing is I don't see the log backup in SAP, but I do see it in the DBMGUI and the file is in the media I specified.

So I do not know why I don't see log backups in SAP. EarlyWatch Alert is alerting me this. So I wanted to fix it, because actually log backups are happening.

Hello Daniel,

when the autolog creates log backups, they should also be visible in the SAP system when you have a look at the backup history there. This should work even if you enabled the autolog in the DBMGUI.

If RZ20 gives an alert although the autosave log is enabled, I'm afraid we need to logon to your system to check what is going wrong there. Therefore please open a customer message (component BC-DB-SDB) and provide the logon information in the secure area of the message.

As you know the DBA Planning Calendar only available in SAP systems.

The DBA Planning Calendar is used to automate database administration.

You can schedule, perform, and check database administration actions.

You can use the DBA Planning Calendar for almost all regular database

administration actions.

The database actions desired are automatically executed at the time you specify.

You must therefore make sure in advance that the required resources will be

available at the time of execution. You can schedule actions periodically (in weeks). This reduces the scheduling work needed for periodic actions.

You have SAP BASIS 7.00 SP 11. In DBA Planning Calendar (transaction DB13)

What Category did you select? "All actions"?

If yes, then you should be able to see the "Activate automatic log backup"

action in DBA Planning Calendar for your database at the time, when you

activated Autologbackup from the DBMGUI.
