When I use the Server Proxy (i.e XI to (Java or R/3) Receiver) why I have to use XI Adapter?

On the other hand during ABAP Client Proxy ( Sender R/3 System to XI) why there is no XI Adapter is configured?

Hi,

>>>>>When I use the Server Proxy (i.e XI to (Java or R/3) Receiver) why I have to use XI Adapter?

do you know any better adapter to send XML data to r3 ?

you can also use SOAP adapter if you make your class in R3 as a WS

BTW

as for your second questions

adapters (j2ee) are only used when there's no

ABAP service that can process the message

Thanks Michal.

But SAP Says Proxy means Adapter-Less? Then why I need an XI-Adapter on the Receiver side?

Clarify :<<you can also use SOAP adapter if you make your class in R3 as a WS

What is WS here means? Are you saying Web service?

Hey

adapters r used to convert sender format to receiver format, but XI adapter does not do that,u only specify the receiver URL and it doesn't do any conversion, thats why its called adapterless communication

thanx
