VC on NW2004'S SP7

Hi All,

We have our portal landscape on the Above platform. I see from the Notes and Documentation that VC in NW 2004s is automatically installed along with the Portal installation from SP8. However i do see some VC functionality in SP7.

Does anyone know of any limitations of using VC in the above patch level. If we cant use it, is there any other workaround with the exisiting landscape?

Please check the below link to see VC release changes by Patch level.

Expand each patch level and then expand "Release Notes for Usage Types EPC and EP". Here expand Visual Composer link to see all addition/changes/deleteions for Patch to Patch.

If you look at SP7 and SP8, there are so many enhancements/deletions in VC capabilities.

Hello Narasimhan,

The official generally available release of Visual Composer is included as part of a portal installation from SP8 and up. VC was included in SP7 as part of the NW ramp up.

In order to use an officially supported version you should upgrade to SP8 or higher.
