Hello all,

We have SAP on Solaris platform , We tried to connect BrGUI from PC (windows env) , But could not able to get the connection ,it starts GUI ,but with message with –p invalid option.

Do we need to configure anything related to rsh or ssh on PC side?

I edited property file as,

brgui.remote-0=DRP(rsh 172.26.4.40 -l <oracle user> -pw <ora_user_password>/sapmnt/DRP/exe/brtools)

BrTool is working fine on the Solaris server , but remotely from windows PC is not working .

I’m new to SAP and hope help in this matter.

Regards.

Hi Dinesh

Pl Check your brtools version and patch no first.

BrGui 6.30: BR*Tools 6.20 (100)

BR*Tools 6.20 (126)

BR*Tools 6.40 (11)

BrGui 6.40 can be run with all BR*Tools 7.00 and higher.

Pl refer Note 611493 - BrGui: Graphical user interface for BR*Tools

You can download BRGUI from https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/business_packages/a1-8-4/n...

I had real hard time and so planned to share all possible, dont forget to award points...

Thanks and Regards

Please use ssh for the secured connection as of note # 93520 and also try to use ssh with username / password instead of public/private key.

1. Expand brgui.zip to a local folder (E.g c:\BRGUI)

2. Make sure you have installed putty and plink is in the System Path and accessible from cmd line.

3. Open cmd line to test the connection the command (you should able to login to the server)

plink -ssh -l orac11 -pw c11pwd 168.1.100.150 ( Where orac11 is orasid & c11pwd is the password of ora user & IP is the

oracle host IP.

4. open brgui.properties filr from the folder and add the following and save

brgui.remote-0=C11 ( plink -ssh -l orac11 -pw c11pwd 168.1.100.150)

5. You should able to open the BRGUI with the menu displayed on the left.

Hope this helps
