Hi,
We had imported SAP_ESS Software Component into a track "XSS_Track". We
had not modified the code. Since we had to apply a new support pack for
ESS and as we had not modified the source code we deleted the track and thought of updating the support pack for ESS component.
But the JSPM is not allowing us to update the support pack saying that
the component is still "Managed by NWDI".
Though we have deleted the track, we can still see that the SAP_ESS SC and the
corresponding DCs are referring to the track XSS_Track which can be seen
at "http://host:port/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo".
So can you let us know how to update the support pack since we have
already deleted the track.
We are on NW 2004s SP11 , ESS SP5.
Thanks,
Abhishek
Deleting track alone will no do. You need to remove files from WS also.
You have browse through WS and need to remove the folders. Yoy have to open the location from broswer "open as web folder".
Hope this helps.

Sudhir

HI folks,
Thanks for your suggestions. I had already tried using JSPM with "No NWDI" option, but it was throwing an error and I had to exit JSPM.
I tried deleting the WS but to no avail. The deletion could not take place. I have previously deleted WS of custom developed modules through Web Folders but I could not delete the the WS of ESS DCs.
But finally I could deploy the new SP for ESS through SDM. I have assiged points to all answers.
Thanks,
Abhishek

Hi Abhishek
Just log into your server and type http://<servername>:port/devinf
Now select the DTR option and click on File open - as Web Folder option
This will ask you to log on with a user that has admin priviliges. Hence give the login credentials and you would be able to see the track with the necessary Sc is both active and Inactive states. delete the same and again you have to updtae the CMS for the changes to take effect
now if you see the ESS track would have been deleted

Prema
