Friends,
While CIFing Resources from ECC (6.0) to APO (4.1), inspite of maintaining the CFC9 settings, I am finding that ECC Multi Activity resources are getting CIFed to APO as "Multi" Resources instead of "Multi MIxed" resources.
Can anybody guess why this is happening? I need to get the ECC Multi Activity Resources as Multi Mixed Resources in APO.
Thanks - Kumar
so you have cfc9 set to create multi mixed .
Try creating a brand new work center in R/3 and CIF it over.
Is it creating a multi resource and NOT a multi-mixed resource.
If so, then create an oss message.

The new functions are activated using CIF application-specific Customizing in transaction CFC9. To use the new functions, at least one of the indicators "Use of external capacity" or "Reference data change" must not be blank. If both indicators are blank, the transfer will run as in previous releases, that is, the transfer will only be executed if an integration model is activated and changes are also only transferred to the planning-version-independent resource.
If one of the two indicators is activated, the new button "APO resource" appears in the maintenance transaction of the R/3 capacity (on the capacity header to be exact), and this can be used to maintain the APO-specific fields of a resource (header data) in the R/3 System.
Do you have an OLD BAD activated that changes the resource type?
or is this a new install?

Hey kenneth,
The SAP Note provided by you was really helpful. This in fact helped me to capture the delta changes in ECC work centres to APO Resources.
I checked, there was no old BADI implemented for the Resource type and this is a new Install of APO 4.1.
In fact the problem was happening in one client but did not appear in the other.
A call has been logged with SAP.
Thanks for the support.

In transaction CR02 for your Work Center in a Plant, in tab "Capacity", get into it.
Check if your work center is relevant for capacity planning. That is one of four checkboxes in Work Center Capacity (guess Machine type) below.
Check also if you have a relevant Work Time, I mean, if you subtract final time from initial time, it generates more than 1 second of relevant work time.
Check if your work center capacity is set as relevant for several operations. That is one of four checkboxes in Work Center Capacity (guess Machine type) below.
Check also if you have, at the top, a botton named "APO Resource". If so, press it and update it so.
Have a look at OSS 674838: Resource Transfer for v4.0 (Mixed and CFC9)
I didnt' look... but are you on v5.0?

It should work (CFC9) assuming the resource was actually deleted.
Try creating a new resource and CIF it to see what happens?

Was this CFC9 setting for Multi-mixed resource done from the initial setting? Or was it changed later?
"it is not possible to make a later change to the resource type by using an initial data transfer."
Have you tried to delete the resource and retransfer it form R3? (try with one resource to see if this works)
