User Password reset in portal

Hi All,

In our portal we have enabled the option for user to reset his password in the log in page ( get support --> password reset),If we go to this option and provide the required details the UME will generate the password and mail the password . Is there any option or property on the UME to restrict the generated password character set , for ex : if i don't want special characters in the password generated by the UME do we have an option to do that.

you will need to change the UME configuration files. you create a new UME property file where you make the changes and then specify the new configuration file in the UMEu2019s property sheet.

Hi Siva,

I dont think so, this option is available in UME. becouse "Generate Passowrd" is generated by System; that means SAP difined some Password policies; according to these palicies password will be generate.
