Hi,
We have this problem and just wondering what's the best way to deal with this kind of situation.
The problem
1. We imported 80,000 records in our MDM repository
2. After the import, we realized that our taxonomy structure was really messed up
3. Now we want to re-design our taxonomy structure (moving nodes around, creating/deleting categories etc.)
What is the best way to deal with this kind of situation? What are the recommendations? The manual re-design and re-association of records to proper categories seems phenomenal. Is there a work-around?
regards,
Hi Buddy,
As the number of records are very large I would recommend
1) First select your table from the drop down list in Data Manager as the Taxonomy table.
2) Export all the data from there using File>export> to excel.
3) Then you delete data from the Taxonomy table and then modify the structure of the table as required.
4) Then using the Import Manger; import the data by properly maping the data; as required.
