Import Server Configuration?

Hi,

I haven't tried working with Import Server yet...

I have installed Import Server and using MSSQL Server...

Could someone explain me how can I configure Import server to import xml files automatically from a FTP file path?

I need to create any folders?

create ports in console?

Please help me...

Hi Pooja,

Step 1:

Create an Inbound port with

processing type : Automatic

Map : Appropiate Map

Format : XMl or XMl Schema depends on your choice

Remote system : Appropiate client system

Step 2:

Start the MDM Import service in your M/c in services.msc (windows)

Step 3:

Make sure that all the xml file falls in to the ready folder

eg:(C:\Program Files\SAP MDM 5.5\Server\Distributions\HostName_DB\Repository Name\Inbound\Cleint\Port\Ready)

Done..

1) I have created the inbound port with Processing type Automatic,

given the map and XML Schema and schema file selected as matmas.matmas05

selected remote system as MDM...

2) Started the Import Server in services.msc

these are my mdsi contents:

shall i need to give Ready folder path in XI?

Hi pooja,

you need specify the ready folder path in XI.

Make sure all the configurations in XI and ftp server are correct.

Also in the MDIS.ini fill the password of Admin, if any
