Hi,
In the past, any changes that I've made to the windows services file (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services) on our various SAP systems took effect immediately. Now it seems that it can take anywhere from 5min to 30 min for a change to take effect.
Does anyone know of a way to force changes to take effect? We are on Windows 2003 and a few Win2k systems and I'm seeing this with 6.20, 6.40 and 7.00 SAP systems.
Is this something that might have changed with a recent kernel and maybe there's some sort of buffer that needs to be flushed?
Thanks !
Ellen

Hi Ellen,
I don't think it has to do with the kernel. I think it's the Windows IP-Stack. May be one of the various Windows patches caused this...
